Vintage Duck Decoy, Louisiana Carver, Unusual 3-piece, Pintail, Free USA Shipping

This decoy is a pintail duck. Consensus is that the paint job appears to be a Louisiana carver. Very interesting design. Head and neck is two pieces. I would assume this is not intentional but a very old repair. In the gap between the two pieces a peg can clearly be seen holding them together, and the line between them is very straight. Meanwhile the front of the neck doesn't look like it is completely separated, but maybe has a spline between the pieces. Tail is also a separate piece. I don't see any external connection, so it is either glued or more pegs. Glass eyes, carved bill, and raised wings. Painted all over but heavily worn. Eye bolt for a weight tie, and weights on the bottom. Overall size is 5" wide by 7" high by 14.5" long. Really unusual decoy.
