Here is a very rare postcard showing an early circus or wild west show. Eleanor Blondin was the rodeo cowgirl who ran Blondin and Leo Wild West Show and Circus. This show performed in theaters throughout the country in the 1890s and early 1900s. They came to be known as The Cowboy, Indian, and the Lady.
This postcard shows a sign from this show displaying the name of the show. On either side is the band, along with a cowboy (perhaps Leo?). On the bass drum it reads "Blondin's - Tonight - Under Tent." No doubt they were marching the streets to drum up a crowd for that night's performance.
The stamp imprint on the reverse is a Cyko 1, dating it from 1904-1920.
Condition is excellent and unposted. The only detriment is a felt-tip "x" above and below one of the band members. Opening bid is a fraction of what this card should bring. Free USA shipping.
