Here is a very rare marble that rarely shows up. This is an antique German Swirl called a ribbon lutz. Those are rare enough, but this one is in blue glass instead of clear. Additionally, this is an end of cane marble...the white ribbon only goes part way through the marble. This makes it even more desirable to those who collect truly rare marbles. Size is 21/32". Shows some very light surface wear, but no real hits. Under a 10x loupe a couple microscopic fleabites can be seen. Some would grade this at Mint Minus, others at Near Mint Plus.

Robert Block, whose price guides lean a bit more toward wholesale prices for within the marble show trade, values these at up to $1400 in mint condition, and $800 in near mint WITHOUT the end-of-cane factor being considered. This marble would hit somewhere between these ranges, plus the end-of-cane premium. Priced here lower than either.

As always, buy more than one item from my shop and I'll combine the shipping. I don't make a profit on shipping like some sellers do. However, etsy's calculator doesn't do well with combined orders, so you may get a partial refund of your shipping cost after you have paid for the order.

Keep in mind that many of my items are one-of-a-kind, and I have local customers looking at them. If you buy something that has just sold locally and wasn't yet removed, the order will be cancelled and your full payment returned to you, unless I have a similar item in stock. You can always contact me before your purchase to confirm the item is still available.
