Folk Art Dog Ash Tray Pencil Holder, Wood

Here's a really cute piece ofhandmade folk art. It is an ashtray with a carved dog. Also holds two pencils (or cigarettes?). Appears to be done in either rosewood or ebony wood. Made in three pieces with the top two pieces attached with metal pegs and glue.
Size is about 6.5" long by 3.5" wide by 4.5" high. Nicely done and in good condition.
