Cup Plant Stems, Square, Mixed Media Supplies

This listing is for a group of 24 stem sections from a prairie plant called the cup plant. The name comes from the way leaves attach to the stems, creating a "cup" that catches water. Tree frogs will actually lay eggs and raise their young in the little puddles on this plant, miles from the nearest water source!
The stems make a wonderful art supply, because they are one of the few large plants that actually have a SQUARE stem. The plant can get 6'-7' high. The stems can be as much as 3/4" at the base, tapering to 1/4" at the top, square all the way up. They are jointed where the leaves attached, much like bamboo. The stems are fibrous to semi-woody, and can be cut, glued, nailed, taped, painted. They can be used in a number of ways for art projects and mixed media creations.
You will get 24 stems, roughly 3' in length. Add the unusual shape and texture to your natural art projects or dried bouquets.
