Here is a vintage children's book published to advertise Dr. Price's Phospate Baking Powder. Titled "Billy in Bunbury," it is a small 7" by 7" 20-page paperback children's story book. Each page is delightfully illustrated in full color. It also has eight recipes of sweets (muffins, flapjacks, cookies, cake,tarts, doughnuts) to interest children further. Published in 1925 by Royal Baking Powder Co. Story written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, illustrated by Gertrude Kay.
Two clipped corners and an owner's name on the front cover, otherwise in excellent condition. Not only a nice children's book, but excellent for those collecting old advertising or doing period decorating. loc:halldis
