Offered for sale is a pair teaspoons (two of those pictured have been sold) made by Gorham. The pattern is similar to Gilpen or Fontainebleau, c. 1880, but different from both. The design at the bowl is Gilpen. The figure is similar to Fontainbleau, but with differences and facing the wrong way. A very intricate and beautiful figural pattern. Stunning! Very rarely offered, here is a table setting of 4 spoons. Marked on the back "Sterling. A.C. Benedict & Co." along with Gorham's hallmark. This pattern retails for $60 per spoon - $120 for the pair. My price is nearly 30% off. As you can see by the second picture, one spoon has a rough corner on the end of the handle. Pattern shows some wear as to be expected with something this old, but generally in nice condition. Spoons are about 5-7/8" long.
