Antique Handmade Rug, Colorful, 38" by 63"

Here is a wonderful antique rug. Size is about 38" by 63". I bought this from a woman in her 70's, and this was done by her grandmother, so quite old. Exact age is not known.
This is one of the most amazing handmade rugs I've seen. The design is composed of little "buttons" of fabric and is very intricate. I believe it is a form of hooked rug or locker hooking. With many sewing projects, one side is "good" and the other shows all the knots and things done while constructing. On this rug, both sides are equally excellent. The only difference is an edging piece on one side that is not on the other.
There are slight condition issues on the edges...see the pics...but overall this is a wonderful piece. This would make a amazing piece of textile art if framed and hung on a wall, and that would also hide and protect the minor edge problems.
