Antique Clambroth Marble, 3-Color Caged, Extremely Rare, Free USA Shipping

This listing is for an extremely rare 19th century handmade German marble. The basic style is a clambroth pattern on a translucent base glass and size is .617" or just shy of 5/8". Both pontils present.
Difficult, but can be found. However, usually these have only one color of ribbons or bands. This one has three different colors; red, white, and blue. Also this has many more bands than normal (30 total) and is called a "caged" clamshell. Three-color caged clams are extremely rare. In fact, in mint condition this would be worth between $900 - $1600 plus the premium for the rare translucent base.
Even though most of this marble looks like mint condition, unfortunately, this has a large chip/flake on one side of the marble (actually 3 that are connected to make one). Because of that I've knocked the price all the way down to the lowest grade -- collectible.
Still, one of the few examples you'll ever see of a caged, 3-color clam on translucent base.
